Meet the Cows Dairy Farm Tour (Monday–Saturday)
Visit our local dairy farm and meet the cows behind Heber Valley’s award-winning cheese! Take the 11:00 AM hayride to the milking barn, check out the robotic milking system, and enjoy the barn’s observation deck. A fun outing for families and animal lovers in our community.
Midway Art Gallery Open House (Every Friday & Saturday)
Support local talent at the Midway Art Gallery, open every Friday and Saturday. Stroll through and admire stunning works by Heber Valley artists—perfect for a weekend activity close to home.
May 1: Summer Kickoff Party at Homestead Resort
Celebrate the season at 1886 Grill with a $25 adult/$15 child buffet featuring smoked meats and BBQ sides. Dance to live music by Matthew & The Hope from 6:00 to 8:00 PM—a great way to kick off summer with neighbors.
May 2-3: Wasatch High School Rodeo
Cheer on our Wasatch High School Rodeo Team at the Wasatch County Event Complex. Show your community pride and support our young local competitors in this exciting annual event.
May 2-3: Heber Valley Baby Animal Days Celebration
Spring shines at our historic farm’s Baby Animal Days. Interact with adorable farm animals, take a hayride, and enjoy farm playtime. Free for kids two and under, with VIP tickets for calf feeding and milk barn tours. Wear closed-toe shoes for the pasture setting and bring the whole family for a local tradition.
May 5: Kids Health and Safety Fair & Mile by Mile Marathon
Local kids in grades K–5 can finish their marathon’s final 1.26 miles at this fun event. Afterward, families can explore the Safe Kids Fair with over 30 booths offering activities and safety tips—a great day for Heber City families.
May 8: Community Line Dancing Night
Grab your boots for a night of line dancing lessons right here in the Valley. No experience needed—just come ready to have fun with fellow locals!
May 10: Community Dance at Midway Town Hall

Heber Valley Railroad Train Rides (Multiple Dates)
Hop on the Heber Valley Railroad for local favorites like the Deer Creek Express or Lakeside Limited. Special rides include the Vintage Fashion Shoot Train (May 16), Military Appreciation Train (May 23), and Princess and Pirate Train (May 30)—fun for all ages in our community.
May 23-26: Classic Sheepdog Championship & Festival at Soldier Hollow
A Heber Valley tradition since 2003, this world-class event features top sheepdog competitors on the 2002 Olympic hillside. Enjoy the festival (9/10 AM–4 PM daily) with family-friendly demos, kids’ activities, a Bohemian Beer Garden, and the Salt Lake Scots Bagpipe Band at Monday’s championship. A proud local highlight!
May 26: Veteran’s Tribute on Memorial Day
Honor our community’s veterans with a flag display and street banners along Main Street. Drive through the tribute at Veterans Memorial Park and bring a yard sign or poster to celebrate a local veteran or all Wasatch County heroes.
