August is a busy and exciting month in Heber City, packed with outdoor celebrations, concerts, and family-friendly festivities. Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to the area, here’s your guide to the biggest local happenings this month—right near The Springs at Coyote Ridge. 

Wasatch County Fair: July 24 – August 2 

One of the most anticipated summer traditions, the Wasatch County Fair brings a full week of entertainment to the valley. Hosted across Southfield Park, the Wasatch County Fairgrounds, and the Aquatic Center, here’s what you won’t want to miss: 

  • Demolition Derbies: July 24–26 @ 7:00 PM (Rodeo Grounds) 
  • Party in the Park & Talent Find: July 28 @ 6:00 PM (Southfield Park) 
  • Pool Party: July 29 @ 1:00–3:00 PM (Wasatch Aquatic Center) 
  • Carnival, BBQ & Outdoor Movie Night: July 30 starting at 4:00 PM (Southfield Park) 
  • Country Market & Concerts: July 31 – August 2, including the Mountain Valley Stampede Rodeo and a Charley Jenkins concert 
  • Parade & Balloon Launch: August 2, with festivities starting at 4:00 PM 

From fair exhibits to rodeos and carnival rides, this is a weeklong community celebration that’s fun for all ages. 

Heber Market on Main & Concerts in the Park (Thursdays) 

Every Thursday in August, join locals at Heber City Park for fresh produce, crafts, food trucks, and free live music. Performances for Heber Market Concerts in the Park begin around 6:30 PM.

Bring a blanket and enjoy a laid-back summer evening under the stars. 

Monday Night Locals Concert Series 

Main Street Park also hosts a free Monday night concert series—perfect for easing into the week with local talent.

  • August 18 – Lee Music School of Rock 

All shows run from 6:30–8:00 PM and are open to the public. 

Soulful Sundays at Main Street Park 

Every Sunday in August (except the first), Main Street Park becomes a place for mindful relaxation and music. 

  • August 10 – Yoga (9–10 AM) & Morgan Shelburg (6–7 PM) 
  • August 17 – Yoga (9–10 AM) & Alissa Amundsen Harp Group (6–7 PM) 
  • August 24 – Yoga (9–10 AM) & Sara Hall (6–7 PM)

Heber Valley Railroad Adventures (All Month Long) 

Looking for something a little different? Heber Valley Railroad has themed rides running weekly: 

  • Deer Creek Express – Every Monday & Wednesday through Saturday 
  • Monday Night Train – Every Monday evening 
  • Taylor Dance Party Train – August 1 
  • Princess and Pirate Train – August 8 
  • Friday Night Train – August 15 & 29 
  • HOBO Train – August 22
