September 15 – November 1: Heber Valley Haunted Hayride & Fall Festival at Kohler Creamery
Celebrate the season at Kohler Creamery’s Fall Festival, running all month long. Kids can enjoy the hay maze, corn pit, hay slide, bounce house, and more, while parents soak in the valley’s incredible autumn views. For thrill seekers, the Haunted Hayride offers a wagon ride through farmland filled with spooky and whimsical scenes, finishing with a haunted hay maze walk-through.
October 3–4: Full Moon Lift Rides at Sundance Resort
Experience Heber Valley’s mountain scenery under the glow of a full moon. The Full Moon Lift Rides on the Outlaw Express are perfect for date nights or family outings, offering a 30–45 minute journey through starlit skies. Don’t forget to bundle up—it gets chilly once the sun sets!
Every Saturday: Midway Farmer’s Market
Held at the Midway Town Square from 10 AM to 1 PM, the Midway Farmer’s Market is your chance to shop fresh local produce and handmade goods. The market runs through October, making it the perfect Saturday morning tradition before the season wraps up.
Multiple Dates in October: Heber Valley Railroad Rides
The historic Heber Valley Railroad offers festive train rides all month long:
- Deer Creek Express (Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays) – Scenic rides along the reservoir.

October 24: Heber Halloween Fest
Main Street Park transforms into a Halloween celebration from 4:30 to 6:30 PM with the Heber Halloween Fest. Trick-or-treating, a carnival, local vendors, and live entertainment make this a must-attend event. Highlights include a magician show at 5:30 PM, a “Thriller” dance performance at 6 PM, and a talent show at Timpanogos Valley Theatre to close out the night. Admission is free for trick-or-treating, with additional activities and food available for purchase.
